VIENS JOUER AVEC MATOU ET TOUNETTE & VEN A JUGAR CON MAPI Y MILO
This is a resource aimed at Nursery and Reception aged children. They will be introduced to the two characters Matou the cat and Tounette the mouse who get involved in all sorts of fun activities, such as meeting a scarecrow, seeing the shapes of stars in the sky, going to the beach and having picnics. They also have to visit the doctor when Tounette is unwell. Threaded throughout the stories are many songs, rhymes, games and opportunities for listening and speaking activities. Children learn basic phrases and vocabulary pertinent to their age, experience and the world around them. There are lots of visuals to keep them stimulated. The colourful activity book and audio download offers fun practice at home.
LES AVENTURES DE MINOU ET TROTTINE & LAS AVENTURAS DE MIFU Y TINA
This is a resource which can last up to two school years i.e to the end of Yr 2. It follows the adventures of our friendly cat and mouse and their colourful friends! The book cleverly links in with the seasons. Thereby the children learn French/Spanish words associated with the weather, food, clothing, animals and so on relating to what is going on around them. There are lots of wonderful new songs and games to look forward to! There will be lots of opportunities for role plays, questions and answers, games and singing, all designed to increase confidence and fluency.
In this programme we accompany two French children as they teach us lots of new words and structures. We learn about the weather, days, months, birthdays, alphabet, parts of the body, sports, clothing and much more. Children learn how to count higher numbers, to ask and answer more complex questions, to say what they like/dislike, what their family and home is like etc. As ever our half hour sessions focus on wonderful songs and games, role play and fun!
In this programme we aim to really ‘propel’ the children on to more complex language via meaningful situations as well as brief cultural input such as famous towns in France, tourism, the weather and so on. We introduce more nouns, concentrating on genders, agreement of adjectives etc. We focus on clear and accurate pronunciation in role plays and also look in more depth at reading and writing skills. We never lose sight of the fact that learning a language is fun and our 30 minute sessions are full of games, songs and enjoyable activities.
This programme is a new challenge for our older learners. There are references to vocabulary and structures met in previous La Jolie Ronde programmes as well as completely new language input such as asking/answering the time, asking/answering directions in the street, going shopping and so on. More complex language such as prepositions, verbs, negatives and imperatives are all introduced. The emphasis in this programme is to consolidate previous oral/aural work as well as focussing on the written side of the language too. As ever these take place within the La Jolie Ronde framework of fun. There are role plays and games, songs and enjoyable activities throughout!
This is our follow-up to Mon Tour de France/Mi Viaje por Espana. This is the time when our competent and confident pupils can practise their French in real situations - as if they were in France/Spain. For example: going to the swimming pool, a bus trip, shopping trip, going to the cinema, going for a walk, visiting a town, going camping, a train journey, helping at home, family routine or a pretend school trip to Paris/Madrid. There are 19 modules which are introduced through stories that are fun, engaging and sometimes intriguing. This programme is great for children who have acquired a sufficient amount of vocabulary and are confident with basic oral skills. They will also enjoy the feeling of achievement having read and understood a text in French/Spanish. There are regular references and recalls of Mon Tour de France/Mi Viaje por Espana giving our learners a feeling of ‘empowerment’ and confidence. On y va/Vamos involves the children in more grammar. Verbs are gradually introduced without being too daunting and new grammar points are supported by short exercises.
